AIAA: American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

Student designing aircraft. Manhattan University’s AIAA chapter participates in an annual Design/Build/Fly competition, during which student teams from the region design, fabricate, and demonstrate the flight capabilities of an unmanned, electric-powered, radio-controlled aircraft. The goal is to demonstrate good flight-handling qualities along with practical and affordable manufacturing requirements, while providing quality vehicle performance.

How to Join

AIAA is open to all students, however engineering majors may benefit most from membership. Sign up at the biannual activities and volunteer fair which happens at the start of each fall and spring semester, or contact the club directly at aiaa@manhattan.edu.
